The Tamil Nadu Education Department has issued a notice on 23.6.22 to fill 13,331 vacancies in Tamil Nadu Government Schools.
The selection of teachers is scheduled to start from July 1. It has been advised that the district officers should take action to appoint these temporary teachers.
Eligibility:
12th Pass, Degree, B.Ed.
S.G Teacher : D.T.Ed
B.T Assistant : Subject wise Degree with B.Ed
PG Assistant - Subject wise PG Degree with B.Ed
Age Limit:
It is said that the age limit for temporary teaching job is 18 to 35 years.
Age relaxation:
OBC – 3 years (Max 38 yrs)
SC / ST 5 years (Max 40 yrs)
Salary:
Salaries of teachers to be set up by the School Management Committee
7,500 per month for SG teachers
10,000 per month for B.T Assistant
12,000 per month for PG Assistant
The acknowledgment receipt for salaries paid to SG , B.T Assistant and PG Assistant must be maintained by the school principal which is subject to audit.
Vacancies:
SG Teachers : 4989 vacancies in elementary and middle school
B.T Assistant : 5154 vacancies in Government High Schools
PG Assistant : 3188 vacancies in High Schools
Work Tenure:
SG teachers and B.T Assistant will be employed for 10 months (July 2022 to April 2023).
PG Assistant for 8 months only (July 2022 to February 2023)
Who will be given the priority?
If more than one person is applying for the same post
Then those who have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) will be given priority.
Priority will also be given to volunteers working in the home-based education program.
How to Apply:
Check which Muthanmai Kalvi Aluvalar Aluvalagam and the respective district offices to know which schools have availability and approach the school management to submit your application along with the educational certificates and required documents.
Note : These temporary teachers will work only until the permanent posts are filled by the Teacher Selection Board and the temporary teachers will not be able to apply for the job permanently.
